PACHAMAMA DAY

by - August 01, 2020

Hello, dear friends! Today, I have an inspiring tale of determination and resilience to share with you. It's a story that celebrates our collective efforts and the rewards that come from caring for the land. After a prolonged period of hardship, where we struggled to work the soil and acquire the necessary materials for planting, we have finally reached a turning point. We can now give back to the earth, which generously provides for us year after year, almost without expecting anything in return. The earth is our mother, our beloved Pachamama, and it is our duty to nurture and safeguard her.

Agriculture has long been a vital livelihood for people worldwide, and Argentina is no exception. However, in recent years, numerous challenges have impeded our ability to work the land and produce food sustainably. Soaring input prices and insufficient access to essential resources have hampered our efforts to cultivate efficiently.

Nevertheless, despite these obstacles, we never lost hope. We remained committed to agroecological practices. We firmly believe that it is the best way to care for the earth and cultivate healthy food for our community. Agroecology allows us to harmoniously work with nature, without causing harm or contamination.

Today, on Pachamama Day, we want to express our deep gratitude to Mother Earth for her boundless generosity. We also pledge to continue working hand in hand with her, caring for and protecting her. We understand that we cannot achieve this alone, but we are steadfast in our belief that, together with other dedicated individuals working towards environmental preservation, we can create a fairer and more sustainable world.

Now, why is it crucial to protect nature? Why should we safeguard our land and natural resources? For me, the answer is simple: all of this is the creation of an awe-inspiring God, and we are the custodians He entrusted with the earth. We have a responsibility to care for what has been bestowed upon us and to treat the planet as our cherished home because that's precisely what it is.

That is why we must consistently support sustainable projects that enable us to work in harmony with the environment. In this regard, I want to share my project, Cultivares del Sur, with you. On our Facebook page, you will find a wealth of exciting news and initiatives related to agroecology and sustainable food production. Therefore, I warmly invite you to follow our page, as we continue to champion our cause and advocate for our work.

Together, let us cultivate a better world, rooted in respect for nature and our collective responsibility to preserve it. May our efforts flourish and inspire others to join us in this transformative journey. Thank you for your unwavering support, dear friends!
