TOWARDS THE FAST OF GREAT LENT
Today I had an appointment with my nutritionist. There is always a first time for everything, and the truth is that I have never taken my health issues as seriously as I am doing at this time. Eating much better and trying to eradicate as much as possible any type of bad craving that wants to enter my body of my own free will.
So, thank God, because the clinical blood tests are coming out better and better. 😊 Cholesterol has dropped and also high blood glucose levels to keep the diabetes that has been with me for a few years under control.
I asked my nutritionist if she saw it as healthy for me to fast for the "Great Lent" of the Orthodox Church for my diabetes, and she told me... Go ahead with the "quarantine fast" 🤣 so, there are no excuses whatsoever. Here is a guide to the correct way to fast.
Now, we continue in the Maslenitsa, the "week of the pancakes" where the Slavic communities continue to invite to eat the exquisite blinis. Isn't that delicious?
☦️Christ is in our midst. An orthodox believe. An eternal faith☦️
